Chess

Chess has been one of my hobbies since childhood. Back then, my chess life consisted of occasionally playing with my siblings. For a while, my older sister and I were about even in skill level and we alternated winning and losing. But I about two years ago (2017) I began playing chess online, and I began to improve; now I can beat my sister more often than not. Around the same time, I also established a local community chess club and began playing with new people. In June 2019, my chess career took another leap: I registered with both the West Virginia Chess Association and the United States Chess Federation and participated in my first rated tournament, taking first place in my division. I plan to participate in more tournaments in the future.

On this page, you can view my tournament games and visit my chess.com profile to view my online games and send me a challenge! You'll also notice an advertisement for the Internet Chess Club in the top-right corner of the page. The ICC is one of the best platforms for online chess available, although it is not free. Besides all of the intrinsic benefits to joining, purchasing a membership will also help support me and this website. Thank you for your contribution and enjoy!

Sincerely,

Abram Leyzorek
